| Abstract: This paper examines the need for promoting employment in Nigeria through the development of entrepreneurship. This paper relies on secondary data from the Central Bank of Nigeria?s Statistical Bulletin and CIA Fact Sheet and other institutional publications to provide empirical basis for the study. A multiple regression statistical tool was used for analysis. The result did not support the theoretical formulation in the study. The paper however concludes that the government and its agencies should deliberately encourage entrepreneurial culture and skills in Nigeria in order to attack the level of unemployment situation in the country. |
| Keywords: entrepreneurship, unemployment, employable, development and empowerment. |
